DALLAS — HomeVestors of America, the company famous for its "We Buy Ugly Houses" billboards, has announced that it will begin awarding franchises in Canada. It marks the first-ever international expansion for America’s largest home buyer.
“As the credit crisis extends beyond our country’s borders so does the need for a reputable solution to people’s real estate problems,” said John Hayes, president and CEO of HomeVestors. “That is why we intend to grow our franchise network to meet a growing demand for investors. Canada is that first step.”
“We project to add as many as 1000 full-service and associate franchisees in Canada,” said Jason Killough, vice president of development for HomeVestors. “We already communicate with real estate investors in the country on a regular basis. And we agree that the HomeVestors franchise model will translate well in the Canadian housing market.”
Ranked as one of the fastest-growing companies in the real estate industry, HomeVestors is the only national franchise that specializes in buying, rehabbing and selling single-family homes. The company currently has more than 210 franchise locations serving 35 states that have purchased more than 37,000 homes.
