Calling HomeVestors? Use The New Number

Change effective immediately

Beginning immediately, when you call HomeVestors please use our new phone number: 972.532.8000.

The new number makes it easier for you to reach people at the corporate office in an efficient, quick manner.
 
While 972.532.8000 is an automated number, it allows you to dial an extension, eliminating the possibility of being put on hold while other calls are answered (our phones are really busy) or waiting for an operator to answer. 
 
We ask that you no longer use the number you may have programmed into your speed dials (972.761.0046) unless it's an emergency.

The new system works like this:
 
1.  Dial 972.532.8000.

2.  A main menu greeting will instruct you to enter your party's extension (if you know it ahead of time), or to press the "star" (*) button for a corporate directory. The directory functions using the first three letters of the person's LAST name, so keep that in mind. You can look up extensions as well as direct dial numbers in the Corporate Post Office on the HomeVestors Web site.

3.  Your call is sent directly to the person's extension. If your party does not answer, you can either leave a voice mail or, if your call is time-critical or an emergency, you can press zero to reach an operator during business hours. You can also press "3" and a different extension number during the voice mail greeting to try another party without having to redial.
 
By using 972.532.8000 you'll get faster, more efficient service. We appreciate your support!

 

 




Network Radio Campaign Targets Investors

At the Annual Convention in Orlando, we announced a new test marketing initiative targeting investors. . .the campaign was launched the week of Jan. 7 and within the first three days it generated more than 500 hits to our Web site and resulted in more than 200 new investors subscribing to our investor list! 


Because investors can come from anywhere in the country (not just the 35 states in which we have franchisees), we are testing our  first-ever  network radio buy inviting investors from across the nation to subscribe to our investor list.  

The radio ad, which features HVA CEO John Hayes as our spokesperson, not only sells the benefit of subscribing to our investor list, but also offers 12 free reports about how to successfully invest in real estate in exchange for subscribing.  Investors are directed to 12freereports.com (and twelvefreereports.com)--the URL is easy to remember and reminds investors of the added value of subscribing to our list.  

The campaign runs for six weeks on several top-rated programs:  
  • Coast to Coast
  • Glenn Beck
  • Bill O’Reilly               
  • Dennis Miller
  • Mark Levin
  • Sean Hannity
  • Bob Brinker/Money Talk
  • Mike Gallagher
Altogether, commercials will air on more than 2,200 radio stations. This test campaign will deliver 52,623 commercial messages at an average cost of $2.85 per spot! During the test, leads will be delivered FREE to franchisees, using the Marketing Fund to pay for the ads. 

One final important point: as you receive notification about new investors in your area, be sure to personally contact them and find out more about their investing needs.  E-mails and Web site exposure are a good start, but nothing replaces the personal touch of phone contact. The more details you learn about individual investors, the more likely you are to succeed in matching them with your properties. Good selling!

HVA Welcomes New FSM

Rob Cockrell joins HVA as a Franchise Systems Manager specializing in the financial aspects of operating a franchise.

"Some months ago we determined that we needed to hire an FSM who could help our franchisees better understand the financial operations of their business," explained HVA CEO John Hayes. "All of our FSMs are equipped to help franchisees with the operational aspects of their business from lead generation to buying and selling houses to coordinating the office to hiring and motivating staff. They also are good at helping the franchisee with general financial matters, but they are not experts that can dig into a financial statement and help the franchisee better understand the cash dynamics of the business. We believe we are filling a huge voide in our FSM program by bringing Rob on staff."

Cockrell said, "I am excited to be with HomeVestors. My goal is to help all the HomeVestors franchisees work with run the most profitable businesses they can.  My experience as a real estate broker leads me to believe that this will be one of the best years in the last twenty-five to purchase investment property at a discount."

Prior to joining HVA, Cockrell was in the Army and served during the Gulf War. In 1992 he returned to Maryland and attended Bowie State University. After returning from active duty he pursued a business degree and relocated to Dallas-Ft. Worth. Cockrell worked with Century 21 and Real Living real estate before joining HVA.

Thanks in large part to the support and referrals of franchisees, 47 new franchises joined the HomeVestors' network in 2007 as Franchise Development sold three more franchises than the previous year and completed 20 transfers of existing franchises. 

Since the last Franchise Development update in The Vestor's Voice®, the following new franchises have joined the network:

  • Ted Grupp in Philadelphia, PA
  • Tony Kallas in Corpus Christi, TX
  • Stephen Rodio in Providence, RI 
  • Brian Wagstaff in Spokane, WA 
  • Robbie Spaeth and David Ray in Montgomery, AL
Referral Bonus Program Continues

HVA will continue the referral bonus program in 2008. HVA will pay a bonus of $10,000 for each new franchise referral. Last year, HVA paid $130,000 in bonus money to franchisees.

To be a qualified referral, the prospect must have heard about the HVA franchise opportunity from the referring franchisee and must be registered with the Franchise Development Department. If a lead's name and contact information already exists in HVA's sales database, the lead does not qualify for this program.
This referral program does not include transfers of existing franchises although Franchise Development will continue to offer $2,500 in advertising credit for each transfer referred.
