The Ugly Story: This house was dog's butt ugly and was condemned by the county - but that did not deter the 2 "eccentric individuals" from still living in it. They were in such denial that they needed a new roof that they put little microwavable food trays & take out containers around their house to catch the rain. Though it mostly lacked a roof, the electrical still worked in the house (very frightening) even though the Romex was exposed to the elements. From the street, it looked like something that would be called "Old Man Bob's Haunted House" – it was falling apart, a downed tree graced the backyard and not a stalk of grass could be seen on the property (apparently, the grass was too scared to grow in this property.)

Though not on the county's register of Historic Places or listed as a local Natural Wonder, this house boasts two incredible features: The first is the MASSIVE sinkhole (5-6 feet in depth) right in the living room where the floor joists collapsed. We called it "A Natural Sunken Living Room" and thought it brought a lot of charm and depth to the living space. The second feature was the "Natural Skylight" in Bedroom #2 where the roof rotted away, thus enabling the room to bask in natural sunlight and accumulate dead leaves on the floor. It really brings the "outside into the house."

THE HVA HAPPY ENDING: I was able to stop the condemnation and sold it to an investor for lot value and he is rehabbing it.
